Our First Nation Public Library Week is going great! It’s been really nice to see the community coming out to our events.
Last night we had a great talk by David White. It’s really neat to be learning more about our history and culture.
Tonight Rick Fehr will be providing more of our local history by telling us about Yellowbird, an Ojibway leader who lived in what’s now Wallaceburg 200 years ago.
The talk starts at 7pm, and we’ll have light refreshments.
PS. As a door prize, we’ll be raffling off a snazzy, stylish black shkimat (bag) with red writing that says “First Nation Public Libraries”. Come out, hear a great talk, and you might score one of these exclusive bags!
