First Nation Public Library Week 2011, a huge success

Bkejwanong Library’s First Nation Public Library Week was a huge success!

We started off with a bang on Monday, Feb. 14th with a rocking coffee house. Tuesday we showed a great First Nations movie. Wednesday and Thursday offered enlightening talks on culture and history, respectively. We learned about clans and some of the early history of Wallaceburg. Thanks to David White and Rick Fehr for sharing their knowledge. Friday we learned about genealogy and got people started on their family trees. On Saturday, we showed old photos of Walpole Island. It was nice to see so many new people coming to the library.
On that note, if there is anything you would like us to offer, or if there’s anything that we should offer again, please tell us!
Thanks to the community for coming out and supporting our First Nation Public Library!

Keep posted for our future events!
