Puppetmongers visit to Walpole Island!

Bkejwanong Library and  Walpole Island Elementary School were very fortunate to have the internationally-acclaimed “Puppetmongers” visit our community on March 31st and April 1st 2011.

They performed their puppet play “Foolish Tales for Foolish Times” and did several puppet demonstrations at the Walpole Island Elementary School over the course of two days. One student was heard to exclaim “That was such fun!”.

In partnership with Bkejwanong First Nation Public Library, the Puppetmongers came to the Walpole Island community courtesy of “The Next Wave,” an ongoing collaboration between Southern Ontario Library Service (SOLS) and Mariposa In The Schools (MITS).  The Ontario Arts Council Touring and Collaborations generously supports “The Next Wave” programming.
